I skipped three years between Leaving Cert and starting Arts in UCD
English, History, Philosophy (dropped after 1st yr)

I would have made a better fist of the degree if I had gone straight in after the Leaving. Lost momentum somewhat.

Stamp duty on second hand homes for first time buyers has been abolished up to €317,000 or so. I could have saved €12,000 by waiting 5 months. Such is life. i am nothing if not stoic.

We could have saved ourselves €10,660

still if we waited the price of the house would have gone up - already increased by €20,000 in 12 months

well - at least the future generation won't be saddled with it
