Anyway Shine stretched right up to 1999 so includes lots of post-britpop non-hit awfulness, good stuff.

Went listening to Fuzzy Logic and Radiator a couple of weeks ago after many, many years' break. Two spiffing albums right there, songs galore. They've never been as consistently catchy or funny since, though they've had their moments.

The graphic design of the Britpop era is hideous, right? But it'll probably come around again really soon and it won't look as out of place as it does now.

If only The Seahorses hadn't broken up before releasing their second album, then it would have been perfect.

Used to like the Volume series. I think my favourite was the best of Volume part 2 (Sharks patrol These Waters) cause it had my favourite St Etienne song - that I couldn't find anywhere else...

Can't think of a series along the lines of a Shine, dealing specifically with demos, b-sides, covers etc. Think it would be a great idea though. I suppose I was really referring to one off projects, like tribute albums, certain charity albums, certain magazine comps (early Uncut ones, Foggy ones, old CMJ ones) the ones you find by accident in bargain bins etc. .
