the only album i got from 2006 that i can think of is "A Vintage Burden" by charalambides and its great so i vote for that.

Charalambides in ballymahon and dublin
jandek (with chris corsano and mick flower) in bristol

hmmm... cant think, im sure there must be more

yes! (too late to edit, bah) chris corsano would have to be on the best live list as well, and i would have to add aube reworks maurizio bianchi vol 2 and sugababes' overloaded to the album list.

I bought Final Fantasy's 2 albums, and really like them. Mostly anyway. One of my favourite songs ever is on He Poos Clouds. Also his gig in Whelan's was one of the best gigs I was ever at.
Also I love Jinx Lennon's album but I think that was from last year. Also got Arctic Monkeys and liked it. I think those are the only albums I got

BEST SONG OF 2006

Uh!
Oh yeah!
Ah-huh!
Jump back, what's that sound?
Here she comes, full blast and top down
Hot shoe, burnin' down the avenue
Model citizen, zero discipline

Don't ya know she's coming home with me
You'll lose her in that turn
I'll get her!

Panama, Panama
Panama, Panama

Ain't nothin' like it, her shiny machine
Got the feel for the wheel, keep the movin' parts clean
Hot shoe, burnin' down the avenue
Got an on-ramp comin' through my bedroom

Don't you know she's coming home with me
You'll lose her in that turn
I'll get her
Uh-oh!

Panama, Panama. Wow!
Panama, Panama oh-oh-oh-oh
Woo!

(Guitar Solo)

Yeah, we're runnin' a little bit hot tonight
I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off
You know what I'm sayin'
Ahh, you reach down put it between my legs n' ease the seat back

She's runnin', I'm flyin'
Right behind in the rearview mirror now
Got the fearin', power steerin'
Pistons poppin', ain't no stoppin' now

Panama, Panama
Panama, Panama oh-oh-oh-oh
Panama, Panama oh-oh-oh-oh
PANAMAQUAANNNDO!!!
