As for my own tops of the year best gig had to be The Necks in Christchurch, I can't really remember much beyond that though..

Best album is Swans - To Be Kind tho since so many have said it already I'm gonna say A Sunny Day In Glasgow - Sea When Absent. Played that album so many times. There was so many amazing albums this year, my longlist is like 25 albums.

Best track is Boris - Melody, first track on Noise. Their 19th (!) album and they still got it.

i also really liked little x's for eyes single love gets lost. girls harmonising, great pop.

I'm revising my list. OUT - The Ex for Best Gig. IN - mclusky on Friday night in London. Nostalgia gigs are the best.

Jaysus, McLusky? When did they reform? Saw them at the Shellac night of ATP in 2004, they were great. Would love to see them again.

They just did three benefit gigs recently to raise money for venues that are closing down in Wales and London. It was basically Future of the Left playing a set of mclusky songs with a friend on vocals to sing the parts of the old bassist.

Album : I've probably listened to St. Vincent most out of 2014.

Best gig. Portishead at Ep

Best indie gig: Steven Sharpe Album launch at the crane in galway
