Really?
Didn't think it'd be that kinda gig.

Regret missing it...i'll be seeing them for the 5th time next week though, so suppose i shouldn't be too greedy.
Always surprised how much that dude from Lynx (Dave?) actually holds the whole thing together while the other 2 noodle around.

Yeah it's true. He's the guy who actually plays the riff while the other two lads arse about. Anyway, i enjoyed this gig big time.

it was a cool gig, but the sound was a bit poo. i could see john stainer having a bit of trouble with his monitor mix and that fella at the back doing all the work had to come over and give him the timing. that's the tbmc for you. i'll go see them in tripod in august though, they were fucking deadly!

I have to say too that I haven't been to an awful lot of gigs, but this was unlike anything I've experienced. It struck me that the sound was very powerful, even though it wasn't actually ear-splittingly loud.

I thought so too - I felt a lot of euphoria during the show and this was before I got really, really drunk.

Carried my 'I've Got Battles In My Life' bag around with such pride today. It's my new favourite thing.

Niall, twas great to meet you too and you're very welcome for the ticket.

there was way too much joviality and sweatiness and dancing and loud music. ernesto, you would have hated it.

plus, sexypornolady's backpack kept hitting off me while he was mooching his bird in front of me for the whole show. He should just have got a room.

For shame.

Do you know the way the sound is always better by the sound desk, well it was amazing for Battles. It's a pity that your up in the rafters for it though. Second best time i've seen them. Roll on August 24th.

All sounded grand to me. I've just realised why there was such a happy vibe at this gig. The news had just broke about Herr McDowell's retirement from politics.

yea absolutely.what are lynx like anyone know? It's just him, right?

great gig.what it lacked in sound it made up for in energy and enthusiasm.both performers and crowd.pity the improv encore didn't really work.

one of the dudes from Check Engine too.
i had their s/t album...kinda like a more melodic Don Cab or Paul Newman.
