Evenin folks,

So Gary Moore's birthday is coming up in April and I think it's only right that someone put on a gig to comemorate him. I'll be hiring out Whelans, but first I need to get more bands onboard to play at it.

It will be Gary Moore covers only (or songs that Gary played on for example his Thin Lizzy stuff etc.), unless the bands have written a song specifically for Gary.
If any of you have ever been to the Vibe for Philo, it will be something along those lines, except on a little bit smaller scale due to the short notice of time to organize it, and also we won't be charging people more than a fiver to get in to see it.

If anyone would be interested in playing this and paying respects to Gary, e-mail me at paulmorrin1 at live dot com and we'll put together a great night.

Thanks

Do you you know any lads who'll duet with me on this ??

I don't think two white boys will get away with it and even though my mate offered to "black up" it would probably defeat the purpose of the song.....

that's hilarious

Phil Lynott and Gary Moore are again out in the field since february 6th.

What a great song with a very strong message as to what was going on in northern ireland at that time and still is to this day,.

Phil and gary are a huge loss to ireland, may they rest in peace.

SEQUENCEEE

An Anthem. I can only imagine what kind of music they will create now that they are together again. Maybe they will put in a good word for us poor bastards left behind in this valley of tears ruled by fools as this anthem states

Death is just a heartbeat away....." How black this part of the song now is.

Gary, rest in peace, but when thunder is rising, I know you are out there....

Wakantanka nici un.

Great track! Well produced. Its declamatory style puts me in mind of Duran Duran's Wild Boys, released a year earlier. Visually interesting too, with its mix of the Sgt Pepper jackets and the 1980's men's fashion for skintight pants. Seems to be coming back now.
