Ballroom of Romance Number 5ive! (1 Viewer)

I'm there in spirit*.
Hey I got the flyer back. They're just ok. 6,000 of the bastids though. fuck.

* sitting miles away drinking cans and on the net (duh)

I had a great time at the Ballroom thought
the Hermetic collective were excellent.....
except for their bleedin' name which became
harder to pronounce with each drink consumed.

Herv was such a stud in his black slinky ballgown
and should be commended for making and effort
in contrast to the scruffy t-shirt look favoured
by majority of musicians.

Only bad thing was Estel which brought back
the agonizing hours spent in mass with my
granny during my younger years, the only thing that made it slightly bearable was the presence of alcohol,

the only exception was the last track which was an
improvement in that it woke people surrrounding
me out of their numbarsed stupor

Ah yeah....

Went well. Herv was the crackin'....

An Hermetic Collective are seriously good. It's a pity it's a once off... I hope Dan comes back from New Zealand next year. They're fabulous (ghetto fabulous even!)...

ah that's a shame I didn't realise their just
a bunch of earteasers(?) the lot of them,
:(

Yeah.... they draw you in and then spit you out....

Herv was similar, in the whole "letting-me-down-by-the-fact-that-the-dress-doesn't-make-him-a-woman" thing

"earteasers" *titter* :D

thanks, i had a deadly night. man it was fucking cold down the docks though. (not a metaphore for a shriveley mickey.)

man, so many people kept grabbing my arse and that though. i haven't seen that much action in such a long time. of course it all changed once i put my shirt back on.

so yeah, i was drawn in and spat out too....

Herv, you're set was truly excellent. keep up the good work. loved the dress :p, should have some photos back during the week.

well done all round. I had another giddy-good night. An Hermetic Collective were, not to put too fine a point on it, very good indeed. Herv was a treat with his brainy electronic music - can't wait to see your wobbly 7-incher (oe-er). (My girlfriend was dead jealous of figure in that dress.) Jimmy Behan was good, though a little harder to get in to in first listen. Estel had their moments, but I was a little too tired and emotional at that stage to really get dig it.

Ok, another fine night/cd and all for a sky diver/pam shriver - worth getting rained on for.

Felt a need to demonstrate your manlyness to the
world??:p

It's the whole "big sword" thing.

Ah... football... tits... beer....

hey - thanks for all the good words - and again thanks to unclealo and billyg for organising the whole thing. i think the cd is one of the best ballroom jobbies so far. ye can get hold of the AHC tune at http://anhermeticcollective.com (where i've a-quoted sarah - 'ear teasers' indeed).

i really enjoyed herv especially the wall o noise with estel and the velvet dress - mmm, velvet. loved jimmy behan - lush, lush sounds. i was shtuck on the things stall for estel though so was too busy making the hard sell to figure 'em out. next time, gadget. ;)
