Seriously like. It's not better than Terminator 2, and it's DEFINITELY not better than Aliens.
Thank fuck it's passed Titanic in the money stakes though, it was an embarrassment that a piece of shit like that was the top grossing film of all time.

Theatrically, Avatar will have more view(ers).

It certainly feels much shorter than Titanic.

I still say, and I have heard many others say, it's better than Aliens (where the great plot/characterization in that or T2 again?)

I love Aliens and strongly like T2, but claiming they're better than Avatar because of stronger characterisation is pretty weak.

What he said. In fact the music in avatar was really distracting whenever it started sounding like the music in Aliens. Just made me wish I was watching Aliens instead.

Here's the only piece of soundtrack from Aliens that should have been in Avatar:

Undoubtedly the best film I've ever seen. I didn't think it was possible to make a film that fucking amazing. It was stunning. Anyone who wasn't bowled over by it is too world-weary to appreciate anything good in life and should go kill themselves immediately.

I'm going to have to avoid watching Avatar now, just in case it doesn't bowl me over...
