I'm heading down for the Bonnie Prince Billy gig and staying on for the weekend. Any good places to go out? It's the August bank holiday weekend.

I dunno what's on that weekend in particular but Kelly's is a deadly venue, and it has great food too. If ya wanna hear auld fellas who look like potatoes singing interminable songs head down to the Crane. Foodwise, LaSalsa (fastfood Mexican) is probably my favourite restaurant in Ireland, they've got two locations in Galway.

Excellent. I'll see what's on in Kelly's that weekend. Thanks

That sounds lovely. Any good late night places that play good music?

just stay in the Roisin after the gig. late night opening, class music, no need to go anywhere else. there's a couple of other cool bars just down the road as well. wouldn't stray too far from that side of town, unless it's trad music/RnB you're after.

Windsor for the Derby were listed to play a free show in the Roisin the day after Bonny Prince Billy. It seems to have been taken down off there listings though.

Now that the weekend is upon us, does anyone know anything deadly happening in Galway late at night this weekend?
