say what you like about the tenets of national socialism, guys, at least it's an ethos.
having a shit ethos isnt better/cooler than being apathetic and having none.

Given the Coens last 3 flix were Lame is it time to re-evaluate the entire repertoire?
Subtracted from its most recent associations, is the Swatika, in itself, a very powerful/intriguing image or is its valu/power totally due to its appropriation by Adolf and his gang? I mean, I think I intrinsically like it as a symbol but wouldnt really profess such an opinion for obvious reasons.
This means I'm bored.

i dunno, people dont have a major problem with the christian cross, but i'd say the inquisition prolly pissed a lot of free-thinkers off.

What about the Coens though?
I despair for them. I really do.

"never assume, it makes an ass of u and me!"

Y'know how they have typical Coenesque touches in those last 3 you mentioned, but they dont pull it off because the flick is lame, and you start wondering, "Well was it funny when they did that in "O Brother" or "Blood Simple". Besmirching the legacy. I guess time will sort the men from the sheep of the Coen Ouvre. (With a sentence like that, I should have M.Dwyers job).

i really liked 'the man who wasnt there'. it was largely mad..deadly stuff.
also I enjoyed intolerable cruelty. maybe it was because im a sucker for g. clooney...but I enjoyed the dialogue and clooneys character.

is all.

Ever hear about the guy that made assumptions?
"as a general rule, I keep everybody at more than arm's length. It's just what you learn from trying to exist in the world. The world is a fairly unpleasant place, and if anybody doubts me, just turn on the news tonight. Anybody who has any sensitivity or intelligence is going to be fairly damaged." - robert quine

Shut the fuck up, Donny.
My brother was offended by this comment... is it because of his playing of loud grunge type music?

ah... The Big Lebowski.... loved it, kind of revealed what I'll be like when I'm 40....

I blame Catherine Zeta Jones... I blame George Bush or Canada....
