Anti-Fascist pickets of TCD in opposition to Nick Griffin (BNP) visit (1 Viewer)

I've no problem with protests, its harassing the authorities to withdraw the invitation that I have a problem with it. I hope the authorities tell them to fuck off with themselves.

Harrassing? I don't know enough to say they've harrassed anyone. Asking that this be withdrawn falls well within the realm of freedom of speech. I think the authorities will probably tell them to go fuck themselves.

the griffin dude is total buffoon. he couldn't hold his own in a debate with a swan. trinity should book a swan to debate with him, rent a circus tent from fossett's and have it as the headline act at next year's trinity ball

No free speech for cunts!

That'd mean that no one should have free speech, except for me, and my mum. And probably not even me.

Trinity won't cancel the event, when I was there either the Phil or the Hist invited over an extremely controversial Austrian politician (I'm quite sure it was Haider but not 100%) and it kicked up a big fuss and loads of protests, what happened was that college just locked down the campus in the event that someone tired to bomb the GMB. Bit ofa pain in the arse though I was mainly based around the geek end of the college at the time.

FWIW when I was there the same societies also invited John Motson and noted titty model Jo Guest over to speak. And the topics of debate are always worded extremely vaguely to allow for as broad a discussion as possible.

I think Pete should just resurrect the thread we had before on this subject..it's pretty much the same

Anyhow, this isn't a vid of BNP people, it's EDL, but it's pretty good all the same ...

Ha ha! 'mazing. Now Nick Griffins appearance has been cancelled lets bring this lad over instead. Have your Muslamic ray guns at the ready.

Patrick Hayes of Spiked Online also gave his thoughts. "The clip may be funny, but it’s not that funny. There are all sorts of interviews with confused protesters on the web – from the G20 riots in London to climate change marches and the recent UK Uncut protests. So what’s behind the particular interest in this clip?", he asked. "[T]he ‘Muslamic Ray Gun’ video clip is a kind of porn for liberals. It bolsters their smug sense of superiority, allowing them to dismiss the EDL as a joke"

hmm. is it fascist to stop someone speaking their opinion?

There are levels of confusion. "Inter-racial law and the muslamic infidel, they're trying to get their law over our country it's happening in other countries it's happening in every country like you've got the Iraqi law they've put down in London like [unintelligible] in London today but they're trying to put the Iraqi law down on London just trying to put their law down on us and we can't stand for that.." is a heady level of confusion indeed.

The racist is better at being liberal then any of you lot....

ok so pickets off tomorrow as tcd have withdrawn the invite on "health and safety grounds"

"The decision to withdraw the invitation came after around 30 protesters disrupted the society’s weekly debate last night, as part of a campaign against Griffin’s invitation."

No pasarán!
