my adverts watchlist is full of telecasters, as is my thomann wishlist. They're just not that comfortable though. However I saw an expensive one in Cork recently with Strat like contours. Looked deadly.

You need one Anto. In fact I have a spectacular George Harrison style Harley Benton ..that is just what you need. It's got a skinny neck,it's a player. Seriously..it's the dogs bollocks

My 2012 Am standard has the belly contour at the back. (similar to pic below)
Some of the tele purists cork sniffers on line have a problem with any deviation from the traditional design. I'm no aficionado, but I'm fine with it. And you will grow into it.
