Saw Dexys at their reunion show in Vicar st, jaysis, years ago. Was amazing. Band came on, played a really quiet slow number, no sign of Kevin. He starts singing from offstage, and the crowd, mostly bald old men were weeping with joy.

Pretty much sang the entire first song offstage, if I remember rightly, and the place erupted when he finally came out. Was deadly.

I wasn't a big fan of One Day I'm Going to Soar, I thought it sounded very plasticky on record, but jaysus the live show that went with it was something else. Half musical theatre, half gig. Mazin'.

The one thing I did think about the new videos was that the guitars were too Metal. Lots of chugs where they didn't belong. But I'd say you'd get over that pretty quickly in a big crowd of people having fun and wooooaaahing.
