I hate these kind of threads myself but if anyone is really bored and has a minute this is a cool article by John Densmore on the fact that he and the remaining members of The Doors get offered loads of money every week to sell their music for use in ads and his objections to it. It's a good rant.

I cant take a multi millionaire ranting about how he morally objects to using his music in commercials very seriously. Clearly he doesnt need the money now, as he admits himself, but at a time when he probably needed it, i.e. when offered the Buick ad in 1967, he was more prepared to sell out. He seems to be saying he's learned his lesson from that experience, but if he was poor today would he still have those moral objections?

I totally agree. It's very easy to take the moral high ground when you're loaded eh?
