it hasn't snowed in cork at all...just loadsa ice since before xmas. boo!! It should be illegal to be -5 and not snow. boo!

part of that weather front will hit parts of Cork in the next hour so by the looks of it.

And we're all in for a hammering on sunday, so be patient!

Meanwhile, 3 hours later its still snowing here. At least twice as much accumulated as did on wednesday last

Snowing here in Westmeath.
Pipes are fine, but the gas cylinder for the cooker keeps freezing up.

Check with the neighbours- it may not be the mains but could be your tank in the attic

If that's frozen it could flood when it starts to thaw

Top tip- hang an electric light over the tank-the heat will keep it from completely freezing and leave the attic door/hatch ajar

I dont have a hot tank, new fangled apartment and all.
If they just lowered the pressure it probably wouldn't make it up 2 floors
