I have this experience with people who weren't prepared to listen to one song I suggested but couldn't understand why I wasn't prepared to watch an 80 minute film or asked them about the plot. Spoilers make me want to watch drama.

Severance. I realized at the end of the season that’s it not a show you can half-watch. I thought it would all come together but when the last ep ended I was none the wiser.

White Lotus. Not so complicated! Good stuff. As good as Seasons 1&2? TBD, but certainly different in feel.
Severance did kind of come together though. Quite a bit explained but plenty left for the next series I thought.

Aussie kids cartoon Bluey was on one day when my young nephew was here.
It was revelation to me because of the realistic dialogue. All the characters kids n adults behaved and spoke like real people do.
In this one the Dad takes the kids to cinema for first time. They run riot but he does a good job and everything works out OK. Despite the movie being Disney style slush.

Bluey is top tier TV.

That's how Mr Milchick felt too. Are we done with Severance spoilers now? Just in case...
I didn't like Mammalians Nurturable. It could have worked without the Halloween Little Bo Peep costumes but they overplayed it especially since it turned out to have a an important role in proceedings. Didn't like Choreography & Merriment department either, that was stupid. Miss Huang seemed like another bad idea but that whole thing turned out very creepy. She's in Svalbard now. The episodes on the severed floor seemed like filler this season - need to explain stuff episodes. Whereas the weekend away and the one in Cobel's home town were great. I dunno, mixed feelings about season two, still great.

So, has anyone else here watched Adolescence? Finished it last night. I actually found the last episode really heartbreaking. I thought the whole thing was brilliant
Gogglebox showed some of opening scenes of Adolescence during the week...
Began with home invasion to arrest the boy. This was more like arresting one of the Kinihans. There must have been nearly 10 of them, many with semi automatics(?) Far beyond any reason.
After the 13 y.o. was in cop car the gun toting cops are still standing around - for what? But the Dad is allowed over to car to talk to the kid through window. What are all the cops and guns for?

The interrogation scene was also unrealistic. Despite having CCTV footage of the murder, the cops ask the 13 y.o. pointless questions and were really insensitive.
I'd have calmly spoke to him - the girl was dead and is there something you want to tell us? as we have footage of her death. Get some kind of rapport going with him.
After the boy and dad are shown the footage - the are both distraught and they are left alone to recover.
That was all Gogglebox showed

The reaction of the Gogglebox crew was sympathetic - "what if one of my family did this?"

I don't have much suspension of disbelief and very rarely watch TV drama.
The lads who killed Jamie Bulger or Anna Kriegel got insane abuse.

We're looking forward to this in our house. I was a big fan of the books when I was a kid, and my son has read the few books I still have, although some of the national/racial charactuers are a litle problematic to say the least...

From the trailer it looks like they've adapted slightly for a modern audience, so I expect any african characters to look like human beings as oposed to animals.

Not sure if you're a fan @therealjohnny ?

Love the books. They've done a great job here. English accents, though? That's unexpected

Watched a couple of episodes of Friends & Neighbours before deciding it was bullshit.
Also watched half an episode of some shite on Netflix about a woman falling for a rabbi. In the half episode it hit so many of the netflix checkboxes I wanted to puke.
