I was obsessed with the show during the first three seasons. Lost interest during season 4. Bowed out in season 5.

I was a bit young for it back in the day but obsessively watched maybe 2 middle seasons and saw other episodes here and there. I never saw the films so a bit lost as to the overall story arc. Something about bees. I am yet to go back to it.

Oh and Catatonia, while not amazing all the time, are underrated. Cerys Matthews has some very good solo albums.

Scully is definitely hotter nowadays I never got what the fuss was about? I suppose there was a definite alien theme even though episodes were maybe about different things? I can't remember any specific episodes.

I liked the folk horror or unexplainable phenomena stories better than the "aliens" plots.

They had the alien/mulder’s family conspiracy ongoing story arc and then the so called “Monster of the Week” episodes which were the Tooms, insects, ghosts, fish men, backwoods cannibals etc. The Monster of the Week episodes were much more fun than the alien shit.
