Sorry for the delay lads..

yeah its upstairs... theres a PA there... fine for vocals/keys/acoustic guitar no need for micing amps or drums really fits about 80 - 90

mind you one act had 142 paying customers a few weeks ago.... and it was never jammed during the night.... i reckon it was the smoking shifts...

no metal....

nice enough wee room , reminds me of the lobby in cork (r.i.p.) though the shape of the room is a tad askew, bar takes up a lof of space. But still can't beat 'free'!

huzzah for slatterys!

punk? ( serious question ).

I think it's perfectly reasonable for them to say no metal, they're offering the place for free for chrissakes!! I bet if it was ye in their shoes ye'd say "no hippie singer song writer types"...

Of course, because metal bands would be far better,I still say fuck you to them .

Love the attitude Gary!

No Metal no punk no moshing no slamdancing..

why ? the building is bloody ancient and theres a perservation order on it! meaning we cant put in a new floor .. the building has to remain untouched downstairs which means the ceiling cant be messed with blahde blah

metal & punk tend to be a bit louder than other genres of music when an audience get into the groove of the gig they generally want to get up and a bit of an auld mosh/dance - the thing is you cant do that.. the floor isnt made for moshing or dancing... unless you want everyone to dance on the same spot go through the floor to the bar downstairs and end up in James' - which isnt a nice place especially at night...

anyone want more info email me: [email protected]
