Paper Trail Records have released a compilation of previously unreleased tracks in support of the Abortion Support Network
Following on from our 2015 Mental Health Day Compilation, Thanks for Listening, we decided to work together with a cause closer to home. We asked some of our favourite artists here in Ireland, and further abroad, to contribute an unreleased outtake, b-side or live version to be compiled and the response was wonderfully overwhelming. We’re really proud of this release, and think it showcases some wonderful talent as well as highlighting how close a cause this is to peoples’ hearts.
Some of our favourite artists from around the world including Mac Demarco, LVL UP, Nap Eyes (listed as CLBCLB) and Priests have donated unreleased outtakes, live tracks or other treasures from the vault, and all the money from each purchase goes directly to The Abortion Support Network.
Women here don’t have access to safe, legal abortions, as a result of one of the most restrictive laws in the EU. On average, 10 women a day travel to the UK to seek a safer alternative, and the growing consensus around Ireland is that this archaic system must change. The ASN is a charitable organisation set up to provide financial assistance to some of the Irish 170,000 women who have been forced to travel to the UK since the 1980s.
Every sale goes directly to The Abortion Support Network through Paypal, so you can be assured that your donations are being put to good use.
