Out On A Limb November Roundup

After a relatively quiet year, here’s a quick news roundup from Out On A Limb Records in advance of what they predict will be a very busy 2010.

After a relatively quiet year, here’s a quick news roundup from Out On A Limb Records in advance of what they predict will be a very busy 2010.

CrayonsmithCRAYONSMITH

Crayonsmith plays two shows in Berlin this weekend, with Phantogram (Barsuk) and Benoit Pioulard (Kranky); Crayons have a date in Dublin later in the month, and some other bits and pieces coming up also. Other than that, Crayonsmith are working on some new tunes, some of which will hopefully be up online soon
HOORAY FOR HUMANS
Hooray For Humans got some mid December shows to coincide with festive times (see listings below). Record #2 is gonna happen in 2010.

WINDINGS
Windings has been working on the original score for a new play that’s commencing in Limerick next week, entitled “The Revenger’s Tragedy”. A couple of tunes are up on the myspace from the score, including, I kid you not, an ABBA cover.

OOAL AT TWISTED PEPPER
We’ve an OOAL night planned for the Twisted Pepper on Saturday, December 12th. Playing live will be Rest, Windings and Hooray For Humans, while Windings and Crayonsmith will DJ afterwards. It should be a right ol’ laugh so come along! We’ll shower you with more details in the coming weeks.

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES
We’re sad to say that Albert who set up the label with Richard first day has “retired” from being involved in the label. All the bands and Richard & Ciarán would like to thank him for his years of hard work, and he remains a great friend of all of us. For those of you who know the man and fear he has hopped off to some exotic island from mass profits gained during his reign at OOAL, you need not worry of any such happening; he can still be found harassing customers on a daily basis at the wonderful Plugd Records in Cork.
