George Fitzgerald, The Twisted Pepper, Friday 6th July

With a string of top quality releases on the likes of Hotflush and Aus behind him, George Fitzgerald is dropping in for Not Saying Boo! this Friday in the Twisted Pepper for what’s bound to be a pretty special set.

Piecing together a unique style from the melodies of garage and house and the hard-edged beats of dubstep and UK techno, the young producer brings it all together in the DJ booth to create sets as varied and versatile as they are fun.

Not Saying Boo! are back to present one of our favourite producers of recent times, George Fitzgerald, who’ll be taking over the basement, with support from Not Saying Boo! resident Frankie Grimes.

The last few years have been as experimentally freewheeling as any in the history of electronic music, and there are few finer examples to support that argument than London-born and bred beatsmith, George FitzGerald. With releases on Hotflush, Aus, and his own imprint, ManMakeMusic, his productions combine with exceptional style and grace.

George Fitzgerald first came to prominence with his “Don’t You” cut on Scuba’s Sub:stance mix. Fast-forward a year and he had his first release on Hotflush, dropping the future garage soul of “The Let Down” and a luscious dubtech gem in “Weakness”. Effortlessly fusing garage & house-warmed melodies with clipped 2-step patterns and big bottom ends, he is one of the finest young producers to emerge in the UK bass music scene in recent times.
