DJ MEHDI:
Signed to ED BANGER RECORDS, DJ Mehdi dropped album LUCKY BOY in October 2006 to meet international praise and success. His singles (and videos) ‘I AM SOMEBODY’, ‘LUCKY BOY’ and ‘SIGNATUNE-Thomas Bangalter Edit’ were on heavy rotation everywhere Hip-Hop and Dance Music were welcomed to meet up. The album has been described as “21st century Breakdancing music”, and featured CHROMEO, graffiti artist FAFI, artwork by SO-ME, and remixes by SWITCH, SURKIN, OUTLINES, KENNY DOPE and THOMAS BANGALTER from Daft Punk. LUCKY BOY was voted one of the TOP 50 albums of 2006 in numerous magazines ans websites.

Born, and raised in Paris, DJ Mehdi has been producing major french Hip-hop artists since 1995 while making great noise (and platinum albums) with his bands Ideal J and 113, remixing various electronic acts and composing soundtracks for many french and international films. His resumé mentions collabos with the largest scope, from club gangstas CASSIUS, VERSATILE, or SUPER DISCOUNT, to globe-trotters CSS, ARCHITECTURE IN HELSINKI or NEW YOUNG PONY CLUB plus legends like FUTURA2000 or RYUICHI SAKAMOTO and MC SOLAAR.

This year, Mehdi also went from resident DJ at Paris’ legendary PULP club and french Radio FG to touring all around the world alone or with his team-mates from the ED BANGER label (Busy P, Justice, Uffie&Feadz and Sebastian). His sets are often hailed as ‘Everything black party music’, ‘Sex, Drums and Beats&Blues’, or ‘Kraftwerk were African’. He appeared #10 in MIXMAG’s list of TOP 20 DJ’s of 2007.

HUDSON MOHAWKE:
Hudson Mohawke aka Hud Mo is a producer who is helping define a new era for Hip Hop music. And that’s not schmutz imposed by us here – sometimes it is like everyone bar us is talking about him in quotables. Press talk like’… Hud Mo is the most exciting hip hop producer of our time’. The music was not caused by a preconceived plan to change the game. Quite the opposite. Hud Mo was a young bedroom producer in a town known for every music bar rap. He had no idea that his indulgence in hardcore, techno, prog, fusion and electro would capture so much attention. As part of Surface Emp with Dom Sum he played live with many great acts and via records with Mike Slott as Heralds of Change he helped create a new experimental approach to production that you no doubt hear across all of myspace. At the Red Bull Music Academy in Toronto in 07 he was announced by Steve Beckett as the latest signing to Warp records. Since then he’s been playing some excellent parties, and working on the LP due out this month.

KORMAC’S BIG BAND
A 14-piece orchestra playing Kormac’s tracks. A mix of live turntables, samplers, drums, double bass, barbershop quartet, trumpet, clarinet, banjo and live visuals. They’ve played everywhere from Electric Picnic’s Main Stage to festivals in Africa alongside loads of famous people, notably; Nas, Jurassic 5, Lupe Fiasco, Scratch Perverts and on the Annie Mac Presents tour.
