i certainly have no such policy

it sucks. just means everything gets shoved in a locked drawer or press.

as it's all confidential stuff I can see the need for it.

w have to remove all work related documents from the desk area at night and put in the cupboard.
we can leave whatever he want non work related lying around.
recently any who didnt lock down their laptop had it taken by the operations team over night and you had to beg for it back.

The only thing we can't leave out is food as we have a mouse...I found a dead one squashed between two desks one day. It flipping stank!

yeah, laptops have to be locked here too.

this was my desk at the paper in hong kong

doritos, gone-off newspapers, can of coke, dying plant in the background and really old mega massive iPod are essentials.

-the desk at work now is pretty much the same, but with a lower pile of papers (and though i dont listen to it in work, i did get a new iPod )
