i have never heard of such nonsense. i am neither an onoff fan, nor a hater for that matter, but i'd hardly call 'em the "worst punk band ever".
..... because the phrase does not exist. ye see, as far as music is concerned,you are, if ye wanna put it, whatever people branded you. thats how dead kennedys became "punk" after all. they were "new wave" as far as they were concerned. now,by sayin' onoff are the worst punk band, you are goin against your own very words, ie: "they are not punk". so cut it out.

now, there are a lot of long winded, hot aired messages here, apparently by "many people" who say that certain bands are climbing the ladder as worst punk bands ever. i have only seen a few users on this forum. and suspiciously, they all write the same. hmmmm.... this excess air could be used more efficiently y'know. you could use it to float a hot air balloon across the english channel, where "old punk" is "appreciated"! asthmatics would be very jealous! so g'wan! make those lungs work!

and finally i'll end. turn away from your stolen p.c for a minute. look outside the window .....clouds....grass..... PEOPLE! yes! it's the real world! go to the samaritans if you have a problem with society,thats what everyone does! "old punk" exists no more. life goes on, as does music... and unfortunately 2 lads, so do music careers. good ones.

NoU were at least creating a new image of their own - how many punk/hardcore bands were wearing winklepickers and 50s suits before the Ulysses boys came on the scene? Attacking the Nation of Ulysses for being image conscious is a bit like attacking Devo or the Residents for the same...

13 Point Program to Destroy America, being the first album by Nation Of Ulysses; Destination: Love, being some Make Up record I don't got.
Make Up were excellent on some tracks but most of it is pretty poor.

Anyway.. pick up 13 Point Program and from there move onto Plays Pretty For Baby. Absolutely amazing records, worth getting just for the artwork. You know that Refused record 'the shape of punk to come' with all the situationist stuff in the sleeve? that's a blatant copy of the 13 point program, minus the humour. Shit i wish i had it right now, it's fuckin hilarious.

musically... they just go off. really fucked up riffing, excellent lyrics, explosive delivery... 50 000 Watts of Goodwill baby yeah!

edit: oh yeah and i might as well add that my avatar is a picture of them playing live in germany about 13 years ago. no, i wasn't there.
