Yep, Jape was really sweet. I'm looking forward to hearing them under better circumstances. Itchies guitar tended to drown out the vocals. Lovely stuff though.

yeah, i was sorry i didn't get to see all of both sets. the jape stuff i heard was really nice (i was very taken with the heroic feats of triangle-playing) and the brass band stuff at the end of the last post was luverly.

decal were amazing, particularly the live drumming. blimey.

i thought sunday was ten times better than saturday.
uptown racquet club rocked.and decal and c4o and jape, all very good .

Yeah I gotta agree, Sunday was far better. Maybe because the two floors weren't so far apart but also, I think the music was far better... Jape were great!!.|..| Uptown were good too but, I prefer them when they incorporate some electronic noodlings, C4O were great but, the sound was a wee bit dodgy for them.

uptown raquet club seriously rocked and decal were fantastic - i got the impression it was quite different stuff to what's on record? loved the live drumming a la orbital + clune.
'twas a great view from the gravity bar at the start of the night just after sunset.

Sunday would have been perfect were it not for the monkeymen and the early finish; it was a really chilled atmosphere, real nice.
I tort Decal were fucking awesome. That last track is a monster.
Jape was also top.
Uptown R.C. are playing with Guided by Voices on Thursday.
Fun!

A: "Decal were really good!"

B: "Wha?"

A: "I said DECAL WERE EXCELLENT!"

B "Sorry man I can't fuckin' hear ya after that Decal set!"

A "You got a new tea-towel set? Wha??"

etc.

Very warm aswell. Stifling, one might say.
