Just give in to the album. It seems really ordinary at first but the more you listen to it.......

I dunno. I liked it at first as I have no problem with 70s country/soft rock stylings. Then I started to really love it but it kind of started wearing off then. Still love the first three songs but I don't think the rest of it stands up that well. It's very clever and well written and played and all that but I don't think it has the heart/balls to it that it should ...

played 'misunderstood' tonight. fantastic. changed the set up quite a bit. started with 'via chicago'. first bit of the gig was ruined for me by 5/6 idiots who seemed to have arranged to meet for a chat 6 meters in front of the sound desk.

i think i may be gay for glen kotche.

Yep another absolutely incredible gig. Feel like I got to hear the whole spectrum of their back catalogue by going to the two gigs. I'm definitely straight for Glenn Kotche.

Speaking of which, I'd like to congratulate the boys of Dublin for giving me and my mate such excellent eye candy over the last couple of days. Never got so checked out in my life. We should do it again sometime.

That was great. I much referred the second night -the fact that I was tired, hungry and sober the first night and full of whiskey and nice food the second night maght have played a role here.

The did a good cross section of old stuff between the two nights.

Well worth the €500

but fuuuuck my head hurts.

What???? I am still pissed I missed Via Chicago. [more expletives here]

....Oh and a huge fan of AM here too.

It coulda been a wee bit louder, shorter and less "Sky Blue Sky" but still , twas a banging coupla hours.

I'm only opposed to the last one album. I wasn't aware that you had to give yourself over to the band's every whim in order to justify attending their show.

Thats not what I said but I can see your point. Its just someone said they didn't like them (or had started to like them a lot less) since YHF, which was ages ago.

And they still played buckets of old tunes, though possibly a little light on Summerteeth stuff (only two songs over the two night I think.)
