I just finished watching Our Friends In The North.

It's deadly, great scope etc. The only major flaw is the dodgy ageing of the characters. Each episode is a little over an hour long and each is named for the year it's set. The series is set over a 30 year period.

Just finished watching Breaking bad last night.Incredible!

Agreed, the second half of season two has some of the darkest and genuinely shocking moments i've seen in a t.v show.

Currently trying to finally finish the sopranos. have tried before but the latter half of season 5 makes me hate Tony so much that i find it very very difficult. Still excellent. watched In The Loop last night, Gandalfini should be bronzed.

Probably not enough bronze around though.

i watched that recently as well, daniel craig was great. i think as well as the dodgy ageing later on, the earlier episodes were just way better. and it all got more and more depressing towards the end..

Just starting into this:

Lots of Expolsions in the Sky (not as much as the film had though)
These's also been a cover of Daniel Johnston and some Camera Obscura
Not bad for a US show!

Captures the mood of the film well but it's not a grimy and the poverty is less obvious.

And it has this girl.
