As mike mills said in 'it's the end of the world and I feel fine', "...right".

I grabbed all my old MBV and even came across the as yet unlistened to copy of ecstacy & wine, not bad at all.

Even better, this led me to rediscovering Lush, via the kevin shields remix of 'sweetness and light'. Listening to Spooky now, what a great album, unfairly slashed at the time.

Burning Witch songs on that are fuckin brutal (in a good one). I wish I could sing like that

stanley brothers - earliest recordings
capt beefheart - lick my decals off
autechre - tri repeatae++

now: ultimate funkadelic ... george clinton's about the only thing keeping me sane in work at the moment

oh yeah, i blasted hellfish & bryan fury - fucknine for a bit before i left the house this morning too ... nice sunday morning music for the neighbours

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless (as suggested in huge bloody letters)
Grandaddy - non-phenomenal milage
Big Black - Songs about fucking
Blech - PC and Strictly Kev

And a compilation with lots of Minutemen and Gang of Four

nurse with wound: automating vol. 1 + 2 (more hit than miss, some great moments on this e.g. "the strange play of the mouth", "dance of fools", "fashioned to a device behind a tree", "ciconia" and "a new dress"), the ladies home tickler (hilarious), spirial insana (stunning).

nina simone: compilation.

paul robeson: songs of free men recital.

beethoven: symphony no. 5 and no. 7

[iks] - abstr/cncr & inner whatever (working on it...)
autechre - confield
pimmon - secret sleeping birds (v.nice)
a samuli a - demo disc 11 (meh, except for 'Keltainen Auto/Valkoinen Auto 3.2' which rocks!)
broadcast - tender buttons (first listen, s'ok...)
