Can't wait for this boxset to arrive. Went to hunt for it as soon as I read the review of it.

it's a good one. lovely presentation as well. i adore the old cut-ups that wsb did, and its excellent to hear them in their extended versions. hypnotic and dream-like stuff, and its always great to hear that voice again (especially when its not set to crappy modern music).

today:
paul flaherty - whirl of nothingness
coil - live in porto
daniel higgs - atomic yggdrasil tarot
cloama + blutleuchte - from wasteland mausoleums
various - come org anthology 2

thats a sweet collection as well... i think that has a fair bit (or maybe all?) of that amazing "nothing here now but the recordings" record on it. i actually think the more impenetrible aspects of burroughs' writing - particularly "the soft machines", "noxa express", "the ticket that exploded" and parts of "naked lunch" - make much more sense and are much more successful in their recorded forms. pieces like "the saints go marching through all the popular tunes" and "just checking your summer recordings" work beautifully in musical terms, often strangely moving.

various - come org anthology 2

i've always suspected that stuff like come's "i'm jack" and the early synth-drone MB stuff is a direct precursor to alot of modern musicians from sunno))) to justin broderick.

What was listened to in work over an 8 hr shift:
Nadja - Thamuogenesis
Nadja - Thaumoradiance
Cian Nugent - CDr demo
Religious Knives - Live @ Big Jar Books
Lite - Live In Limerick
Vimanas - EP
Indian Jewlery - Invasive Exotics
Pelican - The Fire In Our Throats..
Adebisi Shank - EP
Only Fumes & Corpses - Read What's In Between
