I've been listening to my latest purchases and presents:

- Robert Plant and Alison Krauss - raising sand. This is really excellent.
- Cathey davey - Tales of the Silversleeve. Impressed by this. Simple percussive songs; reminds me of the sundays. I could do without the indie-cutsie vocals in places, but otherwise hardly drops a stitch.
- Rufus sings Judy. The album is good, but I got the DVD as well and it's truly fantastic. Maybe this is why Release the Stars was a disappointment: he had probably spent too much time on the Judy Garland project.

I'm a big fan of masses and got three deadly ones as presents: Pallestrina (Missa Papae Marcelli and Missa Aeterna Christi Munera); Beethoven (Missa Solemnis); and Mozart (Requiem).
