What music did you listen to when you were a little kid? (1 Viewer)

ah lads, we nearly forgot the birdie song. And also anything involving orville.

My ma and da went to some DO in the Braemor Rooms (probably) and when they came home they told us how they'd led the crowd in the Birdie Song - my shame, even though I wasn't even there or anything, was just so huge at the thought of my ma and da doing the birdie song that it can still bring a blush of mortification to my cheeks TO THIS VERY DAY.

awful fucking taste in music... kenny rogers

Ah now. Aaaaah now.

I think we knew how to work a turntable before we could walk (It actually says that in my biog in the Village. My amazing ability to put records on shone pretty early).

I very distinctly remember, from a young age:
Thriller
Bat out of Hell
Both Sides of Dolly Parton.

I am the proud owner of a copy of each of these records again.

I still have all my chart hits albums, they are among my most treasured posessions.

OH and HITS HITS HITS 82 which included Phil Oakley and Giorgio Moroders 'Together in Electric Dreams'. Amazing.

didnt we talk about this the other day too?
i believe i might have said Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, and Extreme.

though that was when i was an older kid. when i was younger, it was all about Julie Andrews and whatever film she was in at the time.

yeah and i was trying to find my 4 headed dog of Extreme that i photoshopped to send you, but i can't find it :( i lost it when my pc died a few weeks ago. it was one of my favourite photoshops

i had a record of Wurzel Gummage singing songs..now that was designed to disturb

when i was a kid music began and ended with Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel
not much has changed

this record defined my childhood.. and most of my teenage and adult life as well...

I didn't fancy him but. Also I've just checked and more than words was released in march 1991 and I was 18 at the time, and in college. Thus far more likely to have been lusting over Mark Arm, or similar.

well yes, that'd be it.
pull up a chair kirstie and join me for a minute. there ya go.
