What movie did you watch last night? (12 Viewers)

Went to see Outlaw-starring Sean bean and Bob Hoskins

Good enough premise- in a Falling Down kind of way but nowhere near as good. Some seriously clunky political statements

It was just ok- wouldve been better as a tv mini series I think - we didnt have enough time to get to know or care for any of the characters

and shaky handheld cameras are beginning to get on my nerves

Impressive. Shot completely outdoors. Still wondering, suppose ultimately it's about education failing in the face of greater neccessities.

Down In The Valley - good but not great. Ed Norton is really good in it but he's kinda playing the role he always plays.

just watched the dardenne bros' l'enfant or as its known over here the child. my god, what a film. really powerful, superbly acted drama. was quite tense and emotional in parts, well worth a watch ya'll.

really enjoyed this, rza's soundtrack was pretty cool.
the three italian crime boss heads at the table were genius.

funny shit:)

Now, what the fuck
is his name?

- Ghost Dog.
- What?

- Ghost Dog.
- Ghost Dog?

- He said Ghost Dog!
- He calls himself Ghost Dog.

A lot of these black guys,
gangster type guys,

they all got names like that.

- (Mr Vargo) Is that true?
- He means like the rappers.

(Sonny) The rappers got names
like that - Snoop Doggy Dogg,

Ice Cube, Q-Tip, Method Man.

My favourite was always
Flavor Flav from Public Enemy.

(Sonny) He got the funky
fresh fly flava.

"Live lyrics
from the bank of reality.

"I kick da flyest dope manoeuvre
technicality, to a dope track."

- I love that guy.
- I know nothing about that,

but it makes me
think about Indians.

They've got names
like Red Cloud, Crazy Horse,

Running Bear, Black Elk...
(Makes a sound like an elk)

(Nervous laugh)

- That kind of shit.
- Indians, niggers...same thing!

Leos Carax's second film. Love his stuff. Mereille Perrier gorgeous.

Tonight this screwball comedy from the late 80s. Judge Reinhold plays the antsy priest whom Rosalie confesses too on a daily basis. I was half expecting Chevy Chase to crop up into proceedings.

Then 'Nadine' on tv which was actually half decent in a dumb kind of way.

Flicking thru' the Sky this morning and there was a pretty ropey rom-com on from 1997, which had Karen Allen as Dylan McDermott's mother. There's only ten years in the difference, but boy did she look the part. And we're not talking make-up.

How the mighty have fallen.

Still, though...for old time's sake....

tried to watch two films last night, but turned both of them off after about half an hour each. first, a russian film called "brother". boring. then, "how harry became a tree", which was mediocre and unengaging. decided to put on throbbing gristle's "recording heathen earth / ondale school" very loud. much better.
