I havent, Sweet Movie was the first of his movies I've seen, hopefully I'll get to see more

Actually, I bought The Third Man today. Looking forward to having a gawk at it. I've seen bits of it, but never the full thing. Christmas is great for the movies.

Inkheart

Despite some plot holes, an obviously filmed last week blade-runner beating tacked on happy ending and having the unfortunate title of 'inkheart' this was good fun.

It was everything I hoped it would be.

I watched this this evening. Hugely enjoyable. Told the people behind me politely to shut up too and it worked.

cmndr mind fuck, I'm not a movie expert, I'd say you'd know more yourself. My recommendations would be fairly standard: Blade Runner, Unforgiven, City Of God.

Slightly more out of the way stuff might be:

Battle Royale http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266308/ - pure genius, Beat Takeshi in great form, a cross between a teen romance and an ultra-violent Escape From LA;
Felini's La Dolce Vita http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053779/ - a hedonistic classic;
Felini's 8 1/2 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056801/ I saw this years ago. Enjoyed it at the time.

If I think of anything more, I'll post it.

About two minutes into the film, I turned around to the couple who were behind me, nattering away, and looked at the guy and said "would you mind?". The girl laughed. Then they shut up for the rest of the movie. I think if you're a lowly attended movie you've a better chance of a result when telling someone to shut up. When I went to see Gomorrah, there was two guys sitting beside me and I had to tell them a couple of times to shut up, but the got the message then. There was about 20 people at that. I was at the Savoy last year and nearly got into a fight with these kids who wouldn't shut up, and they told me to sit somewhere else. I complained after the movie and me and my friend got a refund, but it totally ruined the movie. Wouldn't be rushing back to the Savoy. Bit of a social/truancy club.

I've never seen Lars and The Real Girl, and I don't mind if I never do. It looks pretty bad to me.
