i went to see Sweeney Todd this evening. it was enjoyable enough, i usually hate musicals but i almost forgot i was listening to singing after a bit. it was quite grim and maybe a bit overlong

Saw this last night and all.
Funny to see people walking out after the 3rd song.

I thought it looked fantastic and thought the songs were decent.
Depp and HBC do a good job.
Alan Rickman oozes malevolence.

Not for the squeamish though. If you go - there will be blood.

Der Untergang (Downfall)
First read the review of this film in The herald a few years back but only got the chance to see it the last few days.
Have read about the downfall of Berlin numerous times and the way this film portrays it is excellent......
Even the war scenes are the best I've ever seen and proves you don't need big budgets to achieve them....
Bruno Ganz portrayal of Hitler taking his numerous outbursts are superb, film also captures the bunker everyday going ons so so well.

saw Knocked Up the other day. Funny, tragic and accurate in places.

this was great, but of course very very sad. was bawling my eyes out crying by the end. eccleston was brilliant. only wished they had spent more time on the judicial process itself.

I own this on VHS. Good movie!
