NO BUTTER unless it's peanut butter. Mostly raspberry jam for me, though.

but... butter is great. no margarine.

haven't eaten peanut butter in a long, long time. a childhood favourite. used to bug me the way some people wouldn't eat the chunky stuff. same with marmalade. it's like people who don't like bits in their orange juice. taking finicky to stupid levels.

I'm on a homemade chunky guacamole on toast buzz these days.

raspberry jam and banana is great too.

most things on toast are great. if the toast is right. I'm about to make some toast right now; german sourdough and rye bread. maybe a nice cup o' tae. nice.

i am firmly of the opinion that toast is essentially a savoury food, so butter is fine and savoury toppings (cheese, eggs, tapenade, hummus, marmite, pate....) are wonderful.

peanut butter might squeak by at a pinch, but jam and nutella are just WRONG.

My parents brought back this "extra salty" French country butter. It actually has little crystals of salt in it like a chocolate chip cookie. Its your basic heart attack material. Delicious though.
