Potlatch you may notice from Maims Bond's post that my ma is a hippy, therefore we don't eat fish. DUH.

I used to live with an uber hippy (and her practically live-in boyfriend, same) and they were as carniverous as Ted Nugent... Shoulda seen em tear into a steak, a thing of beauty!

Are hippies not meant to eat meat to be truly classed as one?

Sorry to hijack this thread, just didnt want to start another one on the same lines.

Its my parents 30th wedding anniversary in a few weeks and myself and my sisters wanted to get them something nice but havent a clue what.
As we are not all flush with cash at the moment, i was thinking a weekend city break, somewhere in europe maybe but dont know where would be good. They have been to Berlin, Pargue, Paris, Barcelona and London.

They like sightseeing and nice gardens ect...
Any ideas??

Stockholm? Hamburg or other Hansa cities. Helsinki - great sights and museums, nice walking in Saurisaari, an open air folk museum with historic housing from across the country.

Heidelberg. Montpellier's real nice. Driving distance to Carcassonne, Avignon.
