lots of good flash photography site about.

actually one thing flash looks like it could be great for is video. it was crap before, but the new .flv thing in flash mx 2004 could replace quicktime & windows video for good; you can have video embedded in a flash file, embedded in a page, at a smaller file size than .mov/.wmv and working with the flash plugin.

the macromedia site has a thing about it at the moment.

...and seeing as flash can do so much now, i wonder what exactly the point of director is.

As far as Im aware, flash is till WAAAY off the control that director has over movies. Like interaction based control of the movies, well mainly just interaction based control. flash is very clunky when it comes to video, as far as I know it just embeds a load of frames onto the timeline. eeh, it has been a while since I dabbled in either (for shame wav, for shame) so I could be wrong about this. My memory is fading fast
