hey ho, just a question, im a good singer but i want to be better , i.e. have more control and be more consistent in the studio. anyone know anyone who may give singing lessons etc?

if any of u singers out there have good tips for other singers, my main proble is that im not consistent in my performances, sumtimes im great and sumtimes its lackluster, i never had a lessons and dont know how to warm up, any help greatly appreciated. or if u people can direct me to another message board please do so.

know your songs... like really learn them...
If you've written them then thats a help, if not just learn them...

sing them till your sick of them

the only advice I ever listened to:

1. Unless it sounds corney, always sing it like you really mean it.

2. If it keeps sounding corney, sing it like you're bored. This helps avoid melodrama (which is usually the problem).

3. The more you sing, the better you get.

4. Never ever listen to advice about singing.

5. Take my advice and listen to my advice.

Also google Sufi music - Pakistani traditional music - vocals are a big part of Sufi.Those guys can do pretty outstanding things with their vocal cords.Very emotional stuff too.
