USB Mic Preamp/AD interface (1 Viewer)

I'm looking for one of these on the cheap. I'm currently looking at either the MXL Mic Mate Dynamic or the ART USB Dual Pre. I can't really spend any more than that on a Preamp.

Which do you think would be better?

I've not used either, but I will say that there's a lot of ART fans on thumped, and also that the MXL Mic Mate Dynamic doesn't have phantom power, so If you want to use a mic that needs it, you're snookered.

Got an M-Audio Fast Track since i got it for quite cheap($80 inc. shipping). Will be looking into something higher end later on that does MIDI too.

Tascam would be probably the only company I would endorse I have the 224 model about five years now and it's grand.
