I am amazed Trump advisors let him go to a Black journalists event. This could not end well.

He did great in that interview. People who were laughing found him funny - bearing in mind that he has scored well with black voters in the past - and the interviewer just came across as angry. It doesn't matter what the questions or answers were. It works for the silent "haha, look at him not deal with that young woman who takes herself seriously" majority. Tactically a win, and of course outraged lefties will share it far and wide thinking it's a bad look for him.

i'm not convinced by this analysis. the people who will be impressed by him here will be people who would not vote for anyone else; if they're playing for the undecideds in the middle, he just comes across like an angry asshole.
