Strong Boys, Extravision, Rising Damp etc on in Bohs Bar Saturday Nov 26th.

I've just noticed this is an all-day event ...that's a recipe for disaster booze wise. How many cans of Dutch will be drank in the jacks by the collective clientele?

As it's Bohs, no Bud on tap. Sierra Nevada etc.

Keen to see the main acts, but not sure about this all day malarkey.

This Friday we have From Beyond! Part IV in Unit 44 Prussia Street.

On November 11th, 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 presents SW1n-Hunter, the life-long learning project of Adam Denton. Devices jostle for position, triggering impact metrics in the substratum.

We are delighted to invite you to join us next Fridy for 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱! (𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗜𝗩): 𝗦𝗪𝟭𝗻-𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗨𝗞) 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵 (𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻) — fourth edition of a series of nights at Unit 44 exploring cracked electronics, undulating drones and the underbelly of rock posturing.

SW1n-HUNTER is the solo sonic project of artist and musician Adam Denton. Depending on context and situation, Denton combines aspects of frequency sculpture, instrumental mutation, environmental recording, machine/human utterance, feedback systems, movement and decayed samples in his performances. Most recently live shows have manifested as unwieldy, improvised audio essays, often accompanied by his own textual video works.

When not performing and recording as SW1n-HUNTER, Adam works on projects such as The Old Police House (2013-2021), an experimental venue in Gateshead UK and most recently the Abandonment sonic research project in Slemani, Kurdistan region of Iraq, with a wide range of collaborators including Mariam Rezaei, Hardi Kurda, Dror Feiler, Elvin Brandhi and Gustav Thomas.

Seems to me that the younger generation aren't as obsessed with getting pissed out of their minds as people my age were when they were like 17

I can't read the links in Nate's post but was looking at EXTRAVISION's instagram -
does this last from 12-11 pm?!

want to go to this but have a ticket for another gig that day to dispose of.
I have to go to Thurles that day (about 30 miles away from me) but getting a train there to Heuston is easy.

Apologies to my man in Tipperary.

I saw that the links didn't load, meant to change it, but then left it too late to edit.

Yes, it's an all dayer. Full schedule should be imminently released.

I'm imagining the three main acts will be on as if it was a typical gig time slot. [2000 to 2300].

Heading to Godard's Weekend in the IFI earlier so no plan to be there anyway remotely early... although they haven't stated what sort of print it is. Myself and my buddy were trying to surmise if the IFI would have the gall to show a blown up blu-y at festival prices. Those festivals screening ain't cheap. Nothing would surprise me with those guys though.
