They also have a reference section of really hard to get records that they will transfer to cd for a tenner! .|..| I got one of a woody allen standup show from the early sixties before he was really famous.. .|..|quality was great.

DON'T PAY FOR BOOTLEGS

And if you have an iPod...
DON'T PAY FOR ITUNES SONGS.

Or any DRM (Digital Restriction Management) crippled music.

Or copy-protected CD's (the ones where they cannot guarantee not to
fsck up your computer, even if you have no intention of ripping).

Warp seem to be able to not treat their customers like criminals - what's stopping
the major labels?

Great deal that iTunes - Apple get something like 1% of the money that the
end user pays, and the rest goes to the labels. Selling iPods is the only way
they can make any money from it.

if this was 1986 I'd say O'Connell Bridge
If it was 1986, I'd say buy your tape on the bridge, go home, copy it, then come back
in the next day with it and a sob story about how it sounds like shite, or it must have
been the wrong tape. You wouldn't get your money back, but you'd get offered your
choice of any other tape in exchange... (wash, rinse, repeat).

As walkmans got cheaper, most of the O'Connell Bridge traders copped on and
started offering a free listen to the tape you were about to buy, as a nice way to
stop that excuse from working.
