always wanted to try deep frying a big ol bird.

cooked my first xmas dinner last night.
it was amazing, if i do say so myself.
for the turkey we took all the giblets out and cooked them separately for the cats.
we made a macadamia nut and dried apricots stuffing but put in separately to the bird. so it wasnt technically 'stuffing' i suppose.
stuffed herbs under its skin and rubbed in salt and pepper before glazing
glazed turkey with loads of butter, herbs and mustard / balsamic vinegar mix. kept doing that every 30mins. then 30 mins before i took it out, we placed lovely rashers all over it.
BAM.

i had some very tasty turkey recently, it was cooked with whole apples inside and the foil mostly left on during cooking

it was nice and juicy

I have mine fairly tightly wrapped. Just have it stuffed with aromatics.

Apples sound like a very good idea.
