PRAISE LEAVES LOCAL POP GROUP PERPLEXED
by O-G MAGAZINE
Visibly flummoxed: Cotts
In a shocking revelation, Trumpets of Jericho recently discovered that their music has been described as ‘mental yet quite brilliant’. The band's spokesman Roy Cotts said that the lads are ‘surprised yet befuddled’ about the announcement. He went on:
“The band was initially uncertain as to how to assess this assertion: is ‘quite brilliant’ better than just brilliant? The conjunction ‘yet’ would also suggest a degree of contradiction between the two adjectives, which some members of TRUM-O-CHO regard (mistakenly in my opinion) as being somewhat interchangeable. There was further debate as to whether the word ‘yet’ is actually used as a conjunction in this context or as an adverb and a subsequent consultations with the dictionary just resulted in further confusion.”

On the whole though, Cotts confided, the band finally agreed that it is a ‘good thing’. Unfortunately, TRUM-O-CHO were later troubled by the revelation of additional material reported in the Face Books. The immense bewilderment of this ordeal soon turned to trauma before resolving in bittersweet joy and a lethargic celebration. The band’s experience has since been adapted into a short suspense thriller released by Benthos Records Studios, viewable below. In other news, Trumpets of Jericho shall play in the city of DUBLIN tomorrow (Friday 25th), upstairs in Whelan's, at midnight.
