I liked Crayonsmith's album a lot

and

Miriam Ingram's album was class

and from what I've heard so far I reckon I'll really like the Groom album when I get it this weekend.

oh dear... i looked at you list and I've only heard one of those.
I'm going to say MJEX even though I haven't heard it. I just havent been in a record shop since it came out.

Yeh that's why I'm asking... I've only heard 3 better than average albums so I was hoping that asking people we would get some interesting stuff you might not have normally checked out.

well i only bought it last Friday, and it'll be 2007 before i get it off Ronan so i might even vote it for my album of 2007 too, ok?

In fairness I splurged a while back and bought a load of irish stuff in one go. Only problem was, I didn't really like any of it.

Micheal Knight - Youth is Wasted on the Young
and Groom
I also really like Crayonsmith.
Electric Penguins had some really good moments too.

are my favourite Irish albums of the year. The Immediate's is really good but not my cupan tae.

Overall it wasn't really a good year for Irish albums insofar as there wasn't a whole lot to write home about (though what there was has been really good).

I'm looking forward to hearing Coldspoon's EP and I thought Butterfly Explosion's EP was really good too.
