In response to your stupid question

[stupid] whats the stand for? [/stupid]

To prop up the drunkest person there, you silly goose!

Naw, it's to raise the speakers to ear level so we can be rendered deaf in half the time. See, the fella reckoned that he'd supplied stuff for Bowes before and because there isn't a huge amount of room, and the stand when you open it takes up about 4ft diameter space that it's best to use 1 stand in one corner and then put the other in a windowsill, corner seat, barcounter or something.

That do ya? Must say, two 250 watt speakers could probably shatter all the glasses behind the counter. I doubt the €50 would cover that.

You should have some kind of music policy where only music made by people who post on thumped gets played. That way we won't hear more 80s music. What is with you people and 80s music!?

You can't have a thumped party without Hector Grey, can you?
Where is the old bugger anyway?
He's been very quiet lately.

This is not an 80's night!

it's a dodgy disco music night - from whatever era

am i right or am i right?

that's right pete.

it's going to be stoopid music from all over the gaff and naturally muchus 80's stuff will creep in because of all the stoopid music made in the 80's. that's wha'.

I found a suitably terrible disco classic from that happens to be from the 80's last nite
( unearthed coz i just moved flat )

Malcolm McLaren: "Double Dutch"
[1983] single 7"

you may not think you know it but it's the one with loads of girls and skipping rope samples
and kinda goes....

*cough*

" ah hoom ba ba
ah hoom ba ba

BA BA
ah hoom ba ba...."

no really, it's quite good!

ah, its all coming together nicely buh' isn't it?

now all i need to do is learn how to "dj" in the next 24 hours and we are sorted.
i mean, i know how to work a record player so i reckon i'm nearly there already.
