Well it sure feels like a lot longer than a month since the last thumped newsletter... mainly because it is. I skipped the November one because I was out of the country, off sunning myself in southern Spain with more important things to be concerning myself with (cheap booze & where to find tins of Heinz beans, mostly).

After swearing NEVER AGAIN last year... It's on.
Organised in cahoots with those charming people from the Ballroom of Romance, this year's Christmas Do takes place in the Lower Deck in Portobello om Friday 19th December. All proceeds will go to (a currently unconfirmed) charity, & playing on the night are:
- The Tycho Brahe
- Knifed
- The Gentlemen of Exotique
Admission is €8, and there'll be a free CD-R for all the boys and girls, a Christmas raffle & the return of the CD-R / Tape / Minidisc Kris Kringle! How exciting! We may also revive the nametags to help
Last year's Christmas gig in a very, very packed Doyles raised €900 for charity (http://www.cleft.ie/noticeboard/index.htm#thump - that's me on the right in the photo) so hopefully we'll do even better this year.
I'll send out more info closer to the 19th, but in the meantime I'm on the scrounge, looking for people to donate raffle prizes - we gave away some bloody good stuff last year so if you can throw something decent in, get in touch....

There's some new mp3's up from Kieran Glennon & Scientific Bong, with a rumour of a thumped exclusive from The Dudley Corporation soon.... http://thumped.com/music.php
What else... the new version of the message board software should be installed in the next week or so (again?). This has some major design changes, & will probably lead to a pretty serious overhaul of the entire site, but we'll see. I've already made some small changes to try to tie the message board more tightly to the rest of the site...

It's late and I haven't proof read this properly. Finding Nemo is the best movie I've seen in ages... Vince McMahon did an awesome blade job at Survivor Series... I'm putting my Christmas decorations up tomorrow night... Anyone know how to fix my central heating so it doesn't make stupid loud banging noises at 6am?... Bret Hart v Kurt Angle for WMXX? Oh boy... Max Payne 2 rules, but it's too short. Finished it in 2 days... The new Edie Brickell album is amazing... Thumped is 5 years old in January. Interesting, that.
