i would buy the real thing. i got 3 sm-57s in the states for the cost of one to buy in ireland, $69 each or €58. check out this guy on ebay.com: Audio_Boss. he has an online store in usa but he can ship from his european store and you wont have to pay any customs. he's got tonnes of quality gear all factory sealed and dirt cheap too! i swear buy him.

i just bought two t.bone condencer mics in a stereo set, they are deadly, very low noise very sturdy, i only bought them to try and i planned on sending them back after the 30 day home trial....but im keeping them...ide reccomend them.
i dunno bout the ribbon mic tho....
