The countdown is under way to the start of the summer music festival season this Saturday in Ballinlough Castle in Athboy, County Westmeath. And the news for the Garden Party revellers just gets better………

A SCORCHER IN STORE FOR THE WEEKEND

We've just checked in with Metcheck ( www.metcheck.com) and temperatures are set to soar to 22 degrees Celsius for the weekend. So expect cloudless skies and sunny smiles to replace the bank holiday blues we've just been through.

Two days to go and the flags are being raised, marquees erected, licence granted and beer lines tested. The sun keeps shining with temperatures now set to rise to 24 degrees on Saturday so time to find that suntan lotion and whet the appetite for the Garden Party in all its sunny glory!

And midst the music and the madness yet another haven of sanctity, has come on board the good ship Garden Party, in the form of The Playstation 'This is living room'.

The Playstation "This is living room" comes to Garden Party on Saturday the 9 th of June.

The area is inspired by the PS3 This is Living advertising campaign and features the ultimate "kitted out" pad where people can relax and unwind for a short while in specially designed surroundings if they feel the need to "escape" from the festival for a short time or are just looking for something unique, new and exciting.

Visitors to the tent can expect a chilled ambiance and of course a chance to get acquainted with the Playstation 3 experience. Highlights of the carefully designed showcase will include Buddha bags, Flatscreen 1080p televisions, Airplane seats, leather couches, bright cushions, eight Playstation 3 units and much more

The living room will consist of three different zones showcasing 5 different games

• Resistance Fall of Man: an intense World War II first person shooter featuring a futuristic alien battle storyline

Only you can save mankind.
Through brute force, a species of unknown origin known only as the Chimera have conquered Asia and most of Europe in mere decades during the early 20th century. Recognizing the potential for humanity's total annihilation, the United States supports the British Resistance in a European counterattack. • Motorstorm: A frantic offroad action racer

Haw haw.

Von Sudenfed were bleedin deadly, although there was hardly anyone there to see them.I think the boys had to wing it for a bit towards the end when mark e toddled off and didn't come back.

Vitalic went on nearly an hour late to a packed out, very hot tent. Mrs pete asked me "would these be known songs or is he making it up as he goes along?", so we left shortly afterwards.

Currently sitting about 500 ft away from the main tent and its still incredibly fucking loud.
