WHO WE ARE
A group of people scattered around the island of Ireland, all involved with our local independent music scene(s), who are co-operating in order to make the various headaches involved with independent music more easy to deal with. The idea originated on the bulletin board on thumped.com in late 2001 - the idea led to the first meeting, and the meetings have been continuing ever since.
We are a friendly bunch and we welcome new blood and new ideas. If you are interested in getting involved, have a look around this site and the forum. If you want to meet us in the flesh, we have a meeting (to which all are welcome) usually every second Monday upstairs in the Lord Edward Fitzgerald pub, near Christchurch in Dublin. Details on the next meeting time can be found on the forum.

UPCOMING GIGS & OTHER NEWS
Every so often we send out an email highlighting some upcoming gigs and releases and other bits and pieces (you can subscribe to receive these emails at the website).
DISTRIBUTION & STALL
Selling Irish independent releases at gigs in Dublin and Belfast so far, plus a distribution network that extends into shops in various cities around the country.
TOUR
Organised our first tour for bands on the distribution network in March and April 2003. More tours and one-off gigs are planned for the future.
ZINE
A print zine which is available at gigs and the record shops we deal with - contains website content, interviews, listings, previews, reviews and the like.
COLLECTIVE PROMOTION
One of our original aims was to increase people's awareness of independent music by promoting ourselves collectively rather than individually... so far we've taken out some ads featuring lots of our recordings in the Dublin music press.
RECORDING EQUIPMENT LIBRARY
A fledgling idea at present. Basically anyone that is interested chips in a certain amount of cash, equipment is bought once the required amount is raised, and then all contributors have access to whatever equipment has been purchased so far.
